I live in the grand state of Texas! I' love Texas!! I've learned it's hotter than the devils tongue...more beautiful than a fresh baked cup cake....and friendlier than the high school counselor that gave you the creeps. Come share my adventures in life. I'm a mother of three beautiful one's & two hairy ones (my doggies). I must also mention that I'm the CEO of the family. I've learned that life is more than 'my fine shirt just got soaked' bath times, 'hey we are so running fashionable late again' swimming lessons, your most recent 'break down' in the laundry room (yes I'm talking to you; now put down the dryer lint slowly), the latest 'does my butt look big' moment, or even that rock awesome meal you cooked last night. Life is random, sexy, unbelievable, predictable and darn cool. Lets get crafty, create, explore Texas, and have some pretty sweet experiences!

Queen of Hearts and Zombie Face Painting

So I received raving reviews on this years two Halloween costumes!  The first one I attempted was THE QUEEN OF HEARTS…it was for a party where I was in a little skit.  It turned out so great that some people there didn’t even know who I was {now that’s some great makeup}!  Just be warned I was willing to go all out and did indeed glue stick my eyebrows down.

Here’s the you tube tutorial that I found to teach me to be queen: QUEEN OF HEARTS.

My actual costume was simple…I found a black and white dress in my closet and used a single stitch to add cards randomly to it.

Add red belt and red tights…red wig…and home made crown —>>> voila all hail the Queen.

Now on to look number two…

Out of all the gross face paint jobs I’ve done over the years…this one takes the cake for sure!  I had people not even able to look at me and kids were instantly horrified – – moo waa haa haa – – The trick to the fake skin is toilet paper <<<intrigued?>>> I found the tutorial HERE.

To complete the look I sprayed red coloring on my hair [cheap spray can from the dollar store] and made sure there was also some on my ripped clothes [stick with neutral tones].  I also added some Vaseline to the red head spot to make it look ‘wet’.  Added some killer combat boots and dude…total walking zombie!
