I am SO happy that it’s spring!  The flowers in our front yard are blooming, and my kids want to spend every spare minute outside.  It’s also a great time to get out and enjoy fun spring & Easter activities that are happening right here in The Woodlands!

  Peter Rabbit Story Time

Pottery Barn Kids at The Woodlands Mall has Story Time every Tuesday at 11am, and the one on Tuesday, April 15th is a very special one, featuring Peter Rabbit! Your kids will hear classic tales of everyone’s favorite rabbit, plus receive fun Peter Rabbit activity books.

Live at Waterway Square


One of our favorite places to go as a family is Waterway Square.  The fountains are so fun, plus the yummy restaurants, the paths along the river, all the people…and more! Their Live at Night Spring Series is underway, and each Saturday night, from 6-8 pm, there are different featured artists performing.  Bring a picnic blanket, and even a yummy dinner, and enjoy the show! Fun for the whole family!

Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day!

Free Cone Day is April 8th, from noon-8pm!  The nearest participating location to The Woodlands is in Houston, on 5515 Kirby Dr. You can’t beat a free scoop!

FREE Afternoon at The Houston Zoo!


The Houston Zoo offers free admission to guests on the first Tuesday of each month, September through May, from 2:00 p.m. until closing. SO fun!  Our family loves the zoo, and springtime has some of the best weather for visiting.

“Eggtivities” at The Woodlands Children’s Museum


Plan an egg-cellent Easter – mark your calendar for a fun-filled weekend, April 18th and 19th, at The Woodlands Children’s Museum. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, the museum will host “Eggtivities,” an egg-decorating workshop. Visitors can experiment with different media and various dipping and swirling techniques to create their own extra special egg to take home. There will also be sugar cookies to decorate, and guests can  also make a fluffy bunny mask or play the “jelly bean game.” Daily Admission is $5 per person 2 years and older. Easter Cookie Decorating

Williams Sonoma offers free junior chef classes on Saturdays at 9:30am, for kids ages 6-12.  On Saturday, April 12th they will be holding a class on Decorating Easter Cookies!  Call and sign up–space is limited.
